At September 8 2021 City Commission
 meeting, partially discussed was the:  Tree Protection Ordinance  
Agenda Item for proposed changes to Zoning Code for Tree Protection.  Since the other agenda items took much time, discussion of the tree ordinance was incomplete, and, yet again, postponed (see Development Application summary below for timeline / postponements)

Tree Protection: Proposed amendments to the Tree Protection Chapter of the Zoning Code based on the recommendations of the Tree Advisory Committee. [LP] DRC 9/16/20. Sign-off, PB 12/9/20. PB recommended approval with changes, tentatively scheduled for [4/6/21] 5/4/21 CC meeting. CC directed a special meeting be scheduled. date TBD Scheduled for discussion at 9/8/21 CC meeting. City Commission directed staff to schedule a special public hearing date. Tentatively scheduled for [December 2021 or January 2022] Spring 2022.

Code (2002 Edition) of the City of Sarasota by amending Article II, Definitions and
Rules of Construction, Division 2, Section II-201, Definitions; Article IV,
Development Review Procedures, Division 6, Section IV-601 and IV-606; Article
VII, Regulations of General Applicability, Division 3, Transitional Buffers,
Landscaping and Vegetation, Sections 301 through 308, Division 3.1, Tree
Protection, Section 309 through 328, and adding new Sections 329 through 332;
providing for severability, etc. (Title Only) AND Proposed Resolution No. 21R-
2995, amending the Schedule of Fees and Charges for the Zoning Code (2002
Ed.); said Fees and Charges are applicable to the Issuance of Tree Removal
Permits and to the Replacement Tree Fund required by Article VII, Regulations of
General Applicability; Division 3.1, Tree Protection, Zoning Code (2002 Edition),
