TRAFFIC ALERT (ongoing)
Newcomers to the neighborhood need to know: Seek alternative routes!
During the School Year, parent pickup lines of cars in the afternoons (and less so in the mornings), at school let-out hours, tend to "blockade" the following public streets. As well as the expected school bus traffic...
Alta Vista Elementary: Hatton Street between School Ave and Euclid.
Sarasota High School: School Ave between Wood & Hatton, & Hatton between Shade and School.
(also very busy along Bahia Vista Street at main SHS parking lot entry/exit)
SSIS (Sarasota School for Innovative Studies), to a lesser extent, near corner of School Ave and Bay Street
Dreamers Academy, to a lesser extent, can bog up Bahia Vista just west of Tuttle Ave.
